A Pre Thanksgiving and Christmas Wish

Yeah i know early on both. But after reading a post it got me to thinking.

I'd love to see folks be nice to each other again the way they use to be.
Just friendly and not rude.

This coming Friday. Black Friday as it is called is one example of it. People fighting over deals. Stores create this and let others set back and judge us. And in our greed we oblige others, to see us act foolish and greedy. Willing to fight to save $5. Trample and run over people to save money. How ugly is that?

And we turn our back at some one who may be in need. You know i read a lot about religion on here. A verse. You entertain angels unaware. You never know. That one you mock or laugh at?

I would just wish that the Holidays would create a time for some reflection and a time to actually consider others. Not just money but in just treating folks with a sense of caring and a sense of respect. Yeah i know that is old school.

But it still happens.

To the two guys who assisted me the other day when i had vehicle problems. Thanks guys. It had been a long day already, but your help restored some of my faith in some thing i had been looking for.
You don't know what taking that 5 mins out of your day meant to me. Let me know not every one is all about just themselves.

i have a personal problem now with the media and retail stores always referring to Christmas as the "holiday" season. Just another example of this country's sickening political correctness. (i'm sorry if i offended anyone [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img])

hands down Christmas is the money maker. I don't see any argument that will change my mind. Christmas has become the biggest cash cow in the Holiday Season.

yeah, i understand there are other holidays during this time of year. my complaint is over our country being so politically correct that television networks and retail stores are afraid to mention the word Christmas because they are afraid to offend non-Christians.

still the big money is in Christmas. The stores don't stock up on gifts for other holidays.
I'm not saying there isn't other holiday celebrations but the BIG MONEY is in the Christmas gifts.
